Robin Restaurant - Back to the 50's -- Pharr
On April 29, 2006
the crew of Red Robin restaurant in Pharr hosted their first
event with us. They wanted to get involved with the old
car community and invited us over to the restaurant for a place
to meet and hang out with friends with the old cars. The
event was arranged as a 50's theme party and it really turned
out to be a great time for all and a good start to perhaps
future events that Red Robin will host in the future. In
total there were probably about 100 old cars that made an
appearance at the event during some part of the day. I had
registration totals for 65 different cars but I know of at least
20 that came and went and never got signed in. There were
door prizes and meal discounts given to all that brought out
cars and RGV OldCars gave away our new t-shirts to those that
came out in their old cars as well. There were a good
number of the participants who dressed up an in 50's style
attire and had a good time visiting with friends with 50's rock
n roll playing in the background. This was a great event
and we look forward to more events like this one sometime down
the road.
